Most of my photographs are taken "outdoors" -- I like that.
It gets me out of the house.
But sometimes, photographers, much like writers, get a writer's block. Funny, I've never heard of a "photographer's block" -- but it is the same thing. Been there, done that, again and again. So sometimes, I just try to do something different.
Sometimes in the house.
Sometimes outdoors.
Sometimes in the camera.
Sometimes in the computer.

Hibiscus Swirl. More digital fun.

Psychedelic Hibiscus. No drugs involved, but I had fun playing with Photoshop.

The Swan. The glass swan is a mere 6 inches long, just the size to hold a single hibiscus flower. Shot outdoors on my patio.

Patriotism. This was a setup in my backyard to satisfy a challenge on DP Challenge.com. It did not do well, as someone else had already done the same thing.

My Fly Geyser. There is a natural geyser formation near Gerlach, Nevada. I've never been there, but other members of the Merced Camera Club are always showing great images from there. So, using Photoshop and some cone-shaped formations in Paria Canyon, I created my own Fly Geyser.

Ode to Technology. This whimsical setup was done "in studio" with just minor enhancements with Photoshop. It's a departure from my normal shooting in the outdoors.

The Color Purple. This image was taken to satisfy a photographic challenge of the same name. There is a great digital photography site which is now reviewing it's 1000th challenge. DP Challenge.
